My Padres

Oh how I love Bud and Pam Olsen. My parents were here visiting for a day, and today I am feeling the love for them. They are always so helpful with kids and around the house when they come. In fact, we like leaving unfinished projects around the house on purpose, because we know that Buddy boy will go nuts and finish it for us. My dad even got Sofia ready today and put her hair in a ponytail. Not surprisingly, Sofia loves her grandparents so much. When they told her that they were leaving today, she tried going to the door and locking it so they couldn't leave. I am also feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for friends who have really stepped up to make sure I am fed :) and emotionally stable handling two kiddos. Thank you so much for all of you who keep thinking about me and showing your kindness. I am so blessed (and cheesy I have noticed the more this email goes on). I hope that I can return the favors to all of you when you need it. I know this is only my second day of doing my gratitude blog, but I feel like by thinking about the positive things in my life, even more positive things happen.. or maybe those things were happening all along, but I never noticed. Anywho.. Sofia also turned 2 today, but we celebrated on Sunday with family. I will post pictures soon.

Hey Kara, I haven't heard of that book, but my doctor told me to get one called The Fussy Baby. I never ended up getting it, but I hear it's good. I'm so sorry though! Colic is so not fun!!! The exercise ball was literally the only thing in the world that would remotely help us. You have to hand him off and get out of the house sometimes or you'll go crazy. I came close!! It made a huge difference too, when he started smiling it at me finally. That made me feel like maybe he didn't actually hate me!! Hang in there!

Aren't we all busy! :o) Any time you need a night away, I think I have everything pretty much down with Benjamin and wouldn't mind coming over to baby-sit. B-Man could either stay with Paul or I could bring him and watch the other two maybe close to or after Sophia’s bedtime? Even if you want me to come over while you are home so you can nap, that is fine with me. I miss you!

WOW. I didn't realize how much I missed your last 3 entries. If only I lived there and could contribute more in helping you...then I could make the gratitude list!! I want you to know that you do return the favor all the time to your friends though. You are an amazing friend. Sorry I'm so lame. And your kids are darling. Any hints on how to keep your kid sleeping while they're teething? last night was awful!
